wables

There are moments when you realize that family and friends may not reach out as much

It can be disconcerting, hilariously sad, and somewhat shocking that you didn’t know better

But in accepting the way things were, we begin to see people for who they really are

Making piece with this means finding the security within yourself for self-care

It may mean splurging unnecessarily where others have faltered in generosity

Or perhaps soothing where some have inadvertently wounded

Wherever your post, however you cry, ultimately only God can cure these forks

May you find unity within your heart, smoothness in your soul, and wisdom through your eyes

Ameen

  2. “But in accepting the way things are we begin to see people for who they really are” that’s a theme with me lately. I’ve been trying to help my estranged mother comes to terms with the fact that not only is my sister bi-polar, but that she chooses to complicate her illness with her pathological dishonesty. I can see it breaking my mom to face the truth, and yet I can’t help but hope once she makes peace with it all she will see what I have done what I have done to preserve the life I live and to make it a better place for all my kids! Enjoyed your post immensely.

    • It’s so amazing to read incredible stories of heroines like yourself, who brave through life with authenticity and integrity. You are absolutely inspiring, and truly helped me to get over the guilt I have been experiencing towards someone with a similar diagnosis, and I haven’t been there for. The guilt has eaten away at my self-trust, and through kind sharing of stories like yours. it inspires me to forge ahead, imperfections and all.

Thank you for being such a huge part of your own life, because in doing so, you are a role model to us as well. :D

      Pink.

    • My heart goes out to you, as my prayers to you daily as well. It’s so tough separating between what is our responsibility and what is theirs. Your writing serves as such an amazing emotional journey of how tough it can be to find this balance, the courage it takes to constantly re-establish these boundaries. May God always provide you with the path closest to Him, and one of success and happiness. Ameen. :D Hugsssssssss… and loveeee!!

      Pink.

    • Absolutey! :D Finding the balance can be uneven at times, but you are absolutely right. My life is much richer for having others in it, while also enriching myself with self-care as well. A great compliment you have made in adding to my piggy bank of self-loving friendship. Thank youuuuu.. a yellow roses bouquet to you my friend! I have missed our exchange of wordly gifts :D
